Lamborghini, uses NFT for auto parts
Lamborghini Squadra Corse GT Vincenzo Sospiri Racing announced that it will begin using non-interchangeable tokens (NFTs) to certify and authenticate factory auto parts.
The move is part of a pilot scheme by Go2NFT, a company that specializes in creating enterprise NFTs for businesses.
The company said in a statement that the rollout could also be expanded to authenticate products and other official products. In March, the company received a $5 million investment from blockchain ecosystem Skey Network.
"We know that provenance, accountability and quality control are key issues for superbrands wanting to protect their intellectual property and we believe the NFT utility can help create more trust and transparency for brands and their fans," said Boris Eysymont, chief commercial officer of Go2NFT.
